The Junior Event Details:

Last year this event sold out - early entry is highly recommended!

Please note: ALL child entrants MUST be able to swim the distance specified in their age group category confidently using breaststroke or front crawl strokes only.

We would love to let all children have a go at our race however due to the safety of all of our competitors we must ask parents/guardians to ensure that children are able to exit the pool, find and collect their bicycle (on their own) and confidently cycle and run around the course. Children will have timing chips attached to their ankles (as the adults do) and in line with BTF rules must understand and be able to count their own lengths/laps.

We do, of course, have plenty of friendly marshals in the pool area, on the course and in transition to help direct, support, cheer on and aid the children whenever needed! Children will be well briefed at the start of the race and we welcome spectators encouraging competitors (providing spectators remaim outside of the course).

Start Times:

Children will race within their age group categories and races will start at staggered times. Youngest age-groups racing first.

The 2023 race pack with important information, FAQs and course details from last years event is available on our website http://www.cheltenhamtri.org.uk

Please note that the detailed course layout information and the all important race start times will be emailed out 2 weeks prior to race day. Any last minute event information and the start list will be published on our website!
