Organiser's Description

Carlisle Junior Tri Club  invites you to enter the Carlisle Junior Triathlon for ages 8-16 years.


The event will take place on Sunday 10th September 2017 at The Richard Rose Academy Morton and Morton Pool.

The event will involve a swim in the 20m indoor pool, a cycle and run on grass playing fields.

If the field is deemed too wet then the event will revert to an aquathlon.  

Registration will take place 11am-12noon and the race briefing will be at 12.15pm,  The first swim wave is off at 12.35pm.


Tristarts: Age 8  Swim: 40m  Cycle: 800m  Run: 600m


Tristar 1: Age 9-10  Swim: 120m   Cycle: 2km  Run:1200m


Tristar 2: Age 11-12  Swim: 200m  Cycle: 4km  Run:1800m


Tristar 3: Age 13-14  Swim: 280m  Cycle: 6km  Run: 2400m


Youth:  Age 15-16  Swim: 400m  Cycle: 8km  Run:  3000m


There will be trophies for the top three boys and girls in each Tristar category.  All competitors will receive a finishers medal and a goody bag. All winners trophies must be collected on the day.


The cost of the race is £18.00  Members of Triathlon England (or Triathlon Scotland / Welsh Triathlon) will receive a £1 refund on production of their race licence. Total entries limited to 140.


The bike course is on grass, please make your own judgement as to whether you wish to use a road bike or mountain bike.  It is mandatory that cycle helmets are worn and please ensure your bike is in a safe and road-worthy condition. For safety reasons we would ask that during the event all spectators respect the restrictions in relation to crossing the course. 


The race will be held under British Triathlon Rules. 

There will be a tuck shop available.
