Brecon Lions 10 Miles road race returns for its 25th year in 2017. 


Sunday 6th August 2017 at 10:30. Registration from 08.45 to 10AM at the pavillion at  the running track.


Welcome to Brecon Lions 10 mile road race run through the picturesque Brecon Beacons. An undulating route with fantastic scenery, it is an ideal training run for those looking to run a half marathon or a great run in its own right.


The race starts at the running track at the leisure centre in Brecon with free parking on the opposite side of the road. The route makes a loop of Groesffordd and Llanfrynach before returning to the running track.


The minimum age for the 10 mile race is 17 years.


The fun run for all ages will start at around 10:45, with registration starting at 10AM.


The costs for entry are

WAA/AAA affilliated runner £18.00

Unattached £20.00

Entries will be taken on the day for £22.00.

Race numbers will be handed out at registration.


Fun run entries on the day £5.00



Please note that there are no refunds after July 15th. 


Brecon Lions are a charitable service organisation that raises money for local charity, all profits from this race will benefit local and international charities.

Brecon Lions 10 mile race is sponsored by Roy Hatton Car Sales, Brecon Town Council and Freedom Leisure.

Brecon 10 mile is run on open but mostly quiet country lanes. The use of headphones during this race is prohibited.
