Welcome to the online entry pages for the Bowhill Winter Duathlon Series - a set of 3 slightly muddy and hilly off-road Mountain Bike/Trail Run races in the heart of the Scottish Borders - easy travelling distance from the Central Belt of Scotland, and NE/NW England.
2016-17 Series race dates are;
Sunday 4th Dec 2016 – Short (Winner 20mins MTB/20mins Trail Run)
Sunday 12th February 2017 – Medium (Winner 30mins MTB/30mins Trail Run) - **You are on the entry pages for this race only**
Sunday 5th March 2017– Long (Winner 40mins MTB/40min Trail Run)
Each race can also be entered as a Solo, or a Relay Team of 2 people (one x biker, 1 x runner).
Individual entry is £18. £10 Relay Team surcharge.
The Duathlon Series races are a bit 'no-frills', very newcomer-friendly, and a whole load of muddy fun. They are professionally organised, the courses are well marked and designed, and there will be chip timing (Sport Ident type). It's put together by Durty Events (www.durtyevents.com), the folks behind the Craggy Island Triathlon, Selkirk MTB Marathon and Aviemore Triathlon.
Bowhill is a beatiful privately owned country house estate comprising a huge forest with complex path + track network, open moorland, and several small lochs. We're using the House Courtyard as Race HQ and Transition - it's got an on-site cafe for your friends and family to watch and await your glorious return, and even has proper loos!.

Entries are not transferable. Photographic ID may be requested at race registration.
Entrants wishing to withdraw must inform the organiser by email. Entry fees will be refunded or transferred as follows; up to (1 month prior to race date) 75% refund (less any Entry Central or SI fees), up to (2 weeks prior to race date) 50% refund (less any Entry Central or SI fees). After (2 weeks prior to race date) - no refund.
If the event is cancelled for reasons beyond the organiser’s control, (e.g. adverse weather conditions, major incident etc.) the organisers will make every reasonable attempt to reschedule the event. Original entrants will have their entry automatically transferred unless they advise Durty Events that they do not wish to transfer to the rescheduled event in writing (email to email@example.com) within 7 days of the original event date.
In the event of cancellation, original entrants may, at the sole discretion of Durty Events be offered an entry transfer of equivalent value to an alternative event in the companies’ portfolio.
In all cases, Durty Events reserves the right to charge a small administration fee (typically £5) to cover costs associated with card repayments and refund administration time.
No refunds will be granted after one month has passed from the event date.
Changes to entry details, and transfer of the entry to other events in the Durty Events portfolio may be possible with the permission of the organiser. There will be a small admin fee for this service, payable in advance. Please see the full Terms & Conditions for details.
