There are six races in the series. Provisional dates are:

 

6 November @ Lauder (number collection)

20 November @ Gala

4 December @ Spittal

11 December @ Chirnside

8 January @ Paxton

29 January @ Peebles

19 February @ Dunbar (presentation leg)

The event is open to runners aged 17 or under on the day of the race.

 

The race is run under UK Athletics Rules and is a scottishathletics permit event.

 

Entries

 

Entry Fee is £8. There is no additional fee for entering on-line. Entries will be open to members of organising clubs for a limited period - there after the event will be open to all. Please note that entry fees are non returnable.

 

Registration

 

Race Numbers will be issued on the day of the race at Registration at the first event (please check the Borders XC website closer to the time for final details). Runners must collect their Race Number no later than 10:45. Please bring a note of your race number, this can be found in your e-mail receipt. Race Numbers are not exchangeable and no-one will be allowed to run without one.

 

Start

 

The race starts at 11:30 am for juniors and 12:00 for seniors.

 

Code of Conduct

 

As a responsible runner and / or spectator I agree : 

To act with dignity and display courtesy and good manners towards all others at all times – before, during and after the event;  

To avoid swearing, the use of abusive language, bullying, harassment, acts of violence, physical abuse and irresponsible behaviour (which might be dangerous to myself and others);  

To respect the rights, dignity and worth of all those present and treat everyone equally;

  

To consistently promote positive aspects of the sport such as fair play and never condone rule violations;  

And, in order to uphold the ethos of the series, to refrain from posting inappropriate messages and / or photographs on social media.

 

Any runner who does not adhere to this Code of Conduct will be asked by their club not to take part in any remaining legs of the current series and any points accumulated to date will be discounted; if the runner subsequently ignores this request and runs in a future leg, then they will not be credited with any points.  

Any spectator who does not adhere to this Code of Conduct will be asked by their club not to attend any remaining legs of the current series.

 

Numbers MUST be worn on the front and be visible. If original number is lost then a replacement must be visible and legible.
Marshals instructions MUST be obeyed at all times.
Timekeepers are busy. DO NOT attempt to interupt them while they are working. Results will be published on the internet as soon as possible.
