The Event: This event is in its fourth year and a great way to start 2022

A choice of a 5km and 10km (2 laps of the 5km course). A challenging multi terrain charity run, in aid of Wyre Forest Guide Dogs and Diabetes UK, around the fantastic grounds of Bodenham Arboretum.

The Arboretum is situated in the convergence of three valleys, so there will be challenging hills and definitely plenty of mud, in addition to a few hard surfaces, as you run the boundary of the arboretum.

Please ensure you arrive earlier to provide yourself enough time to register (if not already done so) and pick-up your running number.

5k or 10k: When signing up please indicate which distance you would like to run. However, due to the nature of the course you will be able to change this decision on the day of the race. However if you swap to the 5k on the day, please make us aware so we can alter this information on the timing system, other wise you will have run a very speedy 10k.  Great for you, but not great for those that have run the 10k

Registration & Number Pick Up:  From 8am until 8.30pm on the terrace at Bodenham Arboretum

Runners must identify yourself and running number will be made available to collect at the registration desk on event day.  Please note you will not receive anything by post.

Additional Information:  Sorry no changing facilities on site, please arrive race ready.

Please respect the arboretum premises when using their amenities and remove muddy training shoes before entering any of the buildings! 

The arboretum opens to the public at 10am so we kindly request that any runners or spectators in the grounds after 11am, purchase a ticket from the visitors centre.

Own Risk: The Terrain could be challenging especially if the weather has been poor.  All runners run at their own risk and should be appropriately dressed for the conditions.

Refunds: Due to the charity nature of this event: The race organisers are unable to refund entry fees if you withdraw beforehand or the race has to be cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control.

Alternative date: .Should the event need to be postponed due to adverse weather conditions, we will make every attempt to run the event on Sunday 30th of January 2022.  If you cannot make the alternative date you are able to swap your place, but you must let us know by 12noon on Sunday 23rd of January 2022

If we are unable to do this, the alternative date has to be cancelled or you cannot make the
alternative date  Unfortunately as all the profits will be going to charity, there will be no refund. 

Weather and Ground Conditions:  Sections of the route can get very muddy, the mud can get quite deep in places, the slopes can be very slippy and there are exposed tree roots and maybe branches along the route. In frosty weather the tarmac surfaces can become icy and slippy.  Please take extreme care in these sections of the course.

Depending on the weather and ground conditions it may be necessary to alter the route, provide alternative routes and alter the start, this may shorten the distance run. 

Timings: We are going to use a bar code scanning system linked to wrist bands to time the race.  This system worked well last year however timings may not be 100% accurate and can be affected if runners swap from the 5 to 10k or vice a versa on the day, so please if timing is important please use your own timing system.
