Our Mustard Swimrun races consist of trail running and swimming in and around the beautiful lake, river and tracks at Ferry Meadows and the surrounding area in Peterborough
The course will be well marked and marshalled and the finalised route and map for Mild Mustard Sprint 10k will be available on the day. The Middling Mustard Half 21k will be available before the day.

Rules & Terms and Conditions
Solo Entry To race as a solo participant you must be 18 years ols or over and be able to swim and run the race distances
Team Entry To participate you have to race in a team consisting of two people, be 18 years old or over and be able to swim and run the race distances
The Course The finalised race route for Middling (21k) solo and team race will be published until 4 weeks prior to the race. The course is approx divided into 10 swim sections and 11 run sections (4.2km swim with 16.8km run). Some basic navigation will be required, a map will be provided and there will be course markers. The Mild (10k) solo race will be published on the day. The course is divided into 5 swim sections and 6 run sections (1.8k swim and 8.2k run). The course will be marked and signed and no navigational skill are required. The run sections in both races are predominately flat arond Ferry Meadows and the surrounding area.
Participants must follow the marked course failure to do so will result in disqualification
There will be one water / energy drink checkpoints on the Mild 10k course, two on the Middling 21k course Marshals will carry some essential basic medical supplies.
There will be medical staff, emergency ambulance and equipment at Race HQ.
Equipment All solos and teams need to carry all their equipment from start to finish, if a participant fails to bring all their equipment to the finish line they will be disqualified.
Mandatory equipment for Middling 21k TEAM and SOLO. Each participant must have
- 1 First aid pressure bandage, packed waterproof
- 1 Wetsuit if water temperature is below 14 degrees Celsius
- 1 Waterproof map holder
- 1 Whistle
- 1 backpack, hip pack or something to carry the mandatory equipment
Mandatory Equipment for Mild 10k SOLO. Each participant must have
- 1 Wetsuit if water temperature is below 14 degrees celsius
- 1 Whistle
Mandatory equipment that the organisation will supply
- Race bibs must be worn visible all the time during the race
- Map (Middling 21k races only)
- Timing chip
- Swimcaps must be worn visible during all the swims
- Water bladder/soft cup
Equipment check Before the race there will be a mandatory gear check.
Equipment that is NOT allowed Floatation devices that are bigger than 100 cm x 60 cm.
Cut offs Throughout the Middling 21k course there will be cut offs where the teams need to pass by a certain time to be able to continue racing. In the Mild 10k race, before swim 5 there will be a cut off where solo participants need to pass by a certain time to be able to continue racing. Information about the cut off times will be given in the final email after entries have closed.
Racing Participants are taking part at their own risk and can not hold the organisation responsible for any accident or incedent during the race. The solos and teams are obliged, to their best of their ability to help another participants that are in difficulty or have been injured. A team or solo that decides to abandoned the race must report to the nearest marshal and return to race HQ as soon as possible to hand in bibs and timing chips. We have a zero tolerance to littering, any rubbish must be deposited with a marshal or at a designated refuse point. Anyone littering will be disqualified.
The marshals or race organisers can refuse to let a team or solo participant continue if they judge them to be too fatigued or in a physical/emotional condition that would endanger themselves or others.
TEAM racing only The two members of each team have to stay together at all times and can not be more than 100 metres apart on land and not more than 10 metres during swimming.
Pictures and film free rights The participants gives the race organisation the right to use pictures and film material taken during the race to be used free of rights in marketing, press material, internet, television and movie.
Accepting the rules By entering the race each team member/solo participant accepts the rules and also accepts that the organisers can make “common sense” changes to the race rules prior to the event.
