 Wye Valley Runners 10 Mile Road Race

Sunday August 13th 2017

10.00am Start

1 lap of a undulating course mainly run along the country lanes of Breinton Parish

Registration at Hereford Rowing Club HR4 0BE

Collect your race number on the day

Start and finish on the Great Western Way a short walking distance from Hereford Rowing Club 

This race was introduced to the Herefordshire running calendar in 2012 principally to give local runners an opportunity to race over the classic distance of 10 miles. The course can best be described as undulating and is mainly run on rural roads around the apple orchards of Breinton village.

The course record is held by Rhys Park of Cheltenham Harriers who won the 2013 race in a time of 54.07. Gemma Hargraves of Almost Athletes  set a new womens record time of 65.02 in last years race.

The race also hosts the Herefordshire 10 Mile County Championships.

Winners of the County Championship will receive the County Championship Cup.

Tom Pugsley Memorial U-21 Trophies awarded to first male and female finishers in this age category or the youngest finisher if no U-21's participate. 

All finishers will receive a memento

Incorporating the Herefordshire County Championships no additional fee, individuals must be born in county or have 9 months continuous or bonafide residence in Herefordshire. Main race entries are welcome on the day but anyone wishing also to compete in the County Championship must submit their entry by 6th August
