Walk For A Brighter Future

Walk for a Brighter Future – 5km or 10km walk

Sunday 23rd September 2018 10am start.

Your Hospital, Your Health, Your Charity

Why support ‘Walk for a Brighter Future’

The staff in your favourite ward will use your sponsorship to enhance care over and above what they can achieve using the NHS budget.

They might use it to buy a small birthday gift for a long-stay patient who has no family, to provide a comfy chair for elderly visitors or even to buy a piece of equipment.

The ward staff will know how best to use the money you raise and, as we trust them with our lives, it's a lovely Thank You to trust them to use it wisely to do the very best they can for their patients.

Millions of people across Britain rely on the NHS each year to care for them and their loved ones. We are all quite rightly proud of the NHS and the caring, dedicated staff who work tirelessly ensure everyone receives the best healthcare possible.

That’s why, supported by people like you who care about the NHS, Brighter Futures – Registered charity for Great Western Hospital Trust can work in partnership to use charitable donations to ensure patients can be treated in world class hospitals, with cutting edge equipment, in an environment that welcomes patients and their loved ones and makes them feel comfortable.

Entry - £10 an adult with £30 sponsorship for your chosen ward/Appeal

Children under 16 - £5

Under 5’s free

All children must be accompanied by a paying adult to take part.

What is Walk for brighter futures?

Walk for a Brighter Future is a sponsor walked where you can support any ward, department within Great Western Hospital that means something to you and your family. By taking part, you can show your support for the doctors and nurses and give them the funds they need to enhance care for local patients.

Walk for a Brighter Future is a great day out for you, your family and friends and the chance to join other people who care about their local NHS hospital. All that we ask is that you strive to raise as much as you can to support projects locally.

Situated at Stanton Park Swindon you will have the opportunity after the walk to have a family picnic in the grounds, make use of their famous café or pop over to Stanton House Hotel for a cream tea or a Sunday roast!
