Two Moors Cycle Sportive and Fun Ride

15 Sep 2019

Organiser's Description

The Two Moors 100 and Fun Ride is a charity cycle event, run by Bideford Bridge Rotary club with all monies going to our designated charities.

The “Two Moors 100” describes three events; the two original rides of 100Km and 100miles, PLUS a new “Fun Ride” for Families, children and recreational riders.

The route is clockwise this year and leaves Bideford Rugby club and heads for Barnstaple, then onto the country lanes up to Bratton Fleming and onto Exmoor. Then it is south through South Molton, Eggesford and Winkleigh. Here the route splits with the 100 milers heading south to Okehampton, then onto Dartmoor, then home via Torrington, and joining up with the 100Km riders to head home to Bideford.

The “Fun Ride and BBQ” is all on a cycle track – The Tarka Trail. Anybody can enter – adults of all ages, Family Groups, and children – (under 16years old must be escorted by and adult)

There are three distances on offer – 13mls; 17mls; and 21mls. It is NOT a race, but there will be activities of interest to challenge the children. The route will be marshaled, with a café along the way and an additional refreshment stop
