The Course

Our Mustard 10k Swimrun race consist of trail running and swimming in and around the beautiful Thrybergh Country Park and lake,  

The course will be well marked and marshalled and the finalised route and map for Mild Mustard 10k will be available on the day.

Rules & Terms and Conditions

To race you must be 18 years old or over and be able to swim and run the race distances

The Course The Mild (10k) solo race will be published on the day. The course is divided into 5 swim sections and 6 run sections (approx 1.8k swim and 8.2k run). The course will be marked and signed and no navigational skill are required. 

Participants must follow the marked course failure to do so will result in disqualification

There will be one water / energy drink checkpoints on the Mild 10k course                                                                                                                                                                                                  Marshals will carry some essential basic medical supplies.

There will be medical staff, emergency ambulance and equipment at Race HQ.

Equipment  All participants need to carry all their equipment from start to finish, if a participant fails to bring all their equipment to the finish line they will be disqualified.                                             

Mandatory Equipment for Mild 10k SOLO. Each participant must have

  • 1 Wetsuit if water temperature is below 14 degrees celsius
  • 1 Whistle

Mandatory equipment that the organisation will supply

  • Race bibs must be worn visible all the time during the race
  • Timing chip
  • Swimcaps must be worn visible during all the swims

Recommended equipment

  • Water bladder/soft cup

Equipment check    Before the race there will be a mandatory gear check.

Equipment that is NOT allowed    Flotation devices that are bigger than 100 cm x 60 cm.

Cut offs Before swim 4 there will be a cut off where solo participants need to pass by a certain time to be able to continue racing.  Information about the cut off times will be given in the final email after entries have closed.

Racing  Participants are taking part at their own risk and can not hold the organisation responsible for any accident or incedent during the race. The participants are obliged, to their best of their ability to help another participants that are in difficulty or have been injured. A participant that decides to abandoned the race must report to the nearest marshal and return to race HQ as soon as possible to hand in bibs and timing chips. We have a zero tolerance to littering, any rubbish must be deposited with a marshal or at a designated refuse point. Anyone littering will be disqualified.

The marshals or race organisers can refuse to let a team or solo participant continue if they judge them to be too fatigued or in a physical/emotional condition that would endanger themselves or others.            

Pictures and film free rights   The participants gives the race organisation the right to use pictures and film material taken during the race to be used free of rights in marketing, press material, internet, television and movie.

Accepting the rules    By entering the race each team member/solo participant accepts the rules and also accepts that the organisers can make “common sense” changes to the race rules prior to the event.
