Triathlon Scotland Technical Official and Event Organiser Gathering 2019
The organisation and delivery of triathlon events are the backbone of our sport's success, and the quality of these events is vital to the continuing growth and development of the fast growing, dynamic and modern sport. Technical Officials (TOs) and Event Organisers (EOs) play a vital role in delivering and promoting events that are safe and fair for participants.
Triathlon Scotland would like to invite all TOs and EOs to a pre-season gathering as we look ahead to the 2019 season and bring you together to meet each other, network and share your ideas. This year we are delighted to welcome Ian Lole, an Event Management Consultant with a multitude of experience working in triathlon and open water events, to deliver workshops on incident management and safe open water swimming.
Incident Management Workshop
This workshop aims to challenge EOs and TOs to recognise the potential for things to go wrong and to help them to develop contingency plans for the more common/likely incidents that may occur. It will also highlight the benefits of having an event control function to manage events and potential incidents and explore good practice when communicating post incident.
SH2OUT Safe Open Water Swimming
This workshop will introduce SH2OUT - a British Triathlon and the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) partnership programme that has been developed to further promote and progress open water swimming and the safety within the sport. For more information about SH2OUT please click here.
Thanks to event levy contributions, this event is fully funded. Please only sign up if you can commit to attend.
