Heriot-Watt Round the Grounds Race

Organiser's Description
This year the Heriot-Watt University Athletics Club is hosting their annual Round the Grounds Festival on Sunday 12th of March. With a new and improved route this year and the addition of a kids fun run, it is an event not to be missed.
Also part of the SSS winter series this is an opportunity for students to up their rankings in the series.
This year there will be two different events taking place:
- 5k - 13:30 start (13:15 declarations close)
- Kids Fun Run - 12:45 start (12:30 declarations close)
Both events are multi-terrain that will take you down the trail paths around the campus grounds.
Registration, number collection, and bag drop-off will be in the Student Union, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, EH14 4AS from 12:15pm.

- 5k - 13:30 start (13:15 declarations close)
- Kids Fun Run 2k - 12:45 start (12:30 declarations close)
The 5k race is be a multi-terrain race that will go take you round our campus grounds.
The prize-giving will take place shortly after the race at the Student Union.
The Route
The route starts at the Grid building and follows the trail path around the outside of campus and will end at the Oriam which is a 5 minute walk from our student union.

Entry Costs
5k:
Entry is £6 for students and SA members and £8 otherwise.
A team entry form will be sent out to universities so that all students can qualify for the discount.

Children must be aged 4-14 to enter the Fun Run, with all participating recieving a medal!
The Route
The route starts at the Grid building and will follow a short loop through the Heriot-Watt trails before finishing back at the Grid.

Kids Fun Run:
Entry is £2 which includes a finishers medal for all kids particpating in this event.
