This Festival is in a testing state, and is not open for public sign-ups until the organiser has launched it.

Organiser's Description

Postponed to 2021! 

Unfortunately, we have decided that we will not be hosting the Pednor 10 this year on 20th December. 
 
We have spent a lot of time looking at all the different measures that will need to be incorporated to ensure that the race can go ahead with the Covid-19 measures to ensure that all of the competitors and marshals are safe and we feel that the width of the road at the start and finish and the tennis club areas are not spacious enough to accommodate large numbers of athletes with the added social distancing. We have looked into waves, but these areas are still causing us issues. We have also factored in the additional cost of the toilets and shelters that would be needed this year as it would be unlikely that we could use the clubhouse and this make the race unviable for a small charity such as ourselves. 
 
We will be back next year on 19th December 2021 

 

12th Pednor 10 

A charity 10 Mile Road Race

Sunday 20th December 2020 @ 10.00am

Held under UK Athletics Rules  

Course

A 10 mile road race on undulating lanes through scenic Chiltern countryside around Pednor (2 x 5 mile laps), near Chesham, Buckinghamshire. Relay also available (1 Lap per Person)

 

Registration

The registration will be at the Chesham 1879 Lawn Tennis and Squash Club, Situated on Pednor Road, Chesham, HP5 2JU, between 9:00– 9.45am. Carparking in the Watermeadow carpark, just a short walk to the start/finish

 

Start/Finish

The start/finish will be in close proximity to the Race Headquarters and the race will start at 10:00am.

 

Entries

Entry Fee: £18.00 affiliated £22.00 non affiliated (Minimum Age on Day: 18) £28 for Relay Teams. NO Entries allowed on the day.

 

Entry Limit: 210

 

Prizes

Age Group Prizes and Medals to all finishers.

 

Merchandise  

We have got some  Arctic One beany hats and Buffs for the event. These can be purchased for £10 each. We will also have some Arctic One Hoodies which can be purchased for £30. 

 

The Arctic One Foundation

The proceeds from the Pednor 10 Event will be used to help fund our Grant System which we are hoping to launch again in 2020 and 2021. The Grant system was a huge success in previous years and have been able to assist over 200 different people with funding to enable them to have the opportunity to participate in sport and to reach their full potential.

 All profits from Pednor 10 will go to funding the grant system as the more funds we have the more people we can help.
