The Morven Hill Race is firmly established in the hill-running race calendar in North-East Scotland. At 5 miles long with a total of 2100ft of ascent, the Senior race is an AS category hill race. The route is all on mountain trails and good trail shoes are essential. The Morven Hill Race, with Cairn William and Bennachie, are the Aberdeenshire Hill Race series.
This year the Morven Hill Race is also the S.A.L. East District Hill Race Championship race. The race is open to all-comers, but entrants for the Championship must be S.A.L. registered and a member of an East District Club.

The Senior race has an entry limit of 150. There are only limited entries on the day of the race. Pre-registration is greatly appreciated to minimise administration on the day, and to plan for catering. All Juniors and Half-Morven entries are On-The-Day.
Entry fees are non-refundable but may be swapped in exceptional circumstances. The event will only be cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances. Should the race be postponed for any reason, race fees will be held over for a place on the revised date, however, if entrants are unable to participate on the revised date, they may apply for a refund of their entry fee. The organisers’ liabilities in respect of costs and expenses incurred by entrants as a result of cancellation or delay will solely be the entry fee paid to take part in the event.
