Registration at Monymusk Village Hall. The trails take place in and around the picturesque Monymusk House and Estate. The routes build on the feedback received from previous years and allow for spectators to be present around the course.
The Monymusk Trail Race comprises of four races of differing lengths from 5 years old to adults.
Race timings are as follows:
1 km for ages 5 and 6 – 11.00am race start – kindly sponsored by XplainIT
1 mile for ages 7 and 8 – 11.20am race start – kindly sponsored by Garioch Dental Practice
1 mile for ages 9, 10 and 11 – 11.40am race start – kindly sponsored by Treelogic Wood Energy
2 miles for ages 12 to 15 - 12.00pm race start - kindly sponsored by Kemnay Pharmacy
2 miles for ages 16+ – 12.00pm race start - kindly sponsored by Mark Paterson Builder
All runs are within the beautiful area of Monymusk on tarmac and rough tracks within the grounds of Monymusk Estate with the kind permission of the Grant Family. The event is only able to run through the generous support of our event sponsor, Jim Reid Vehicle Sales & Service and the individual race sponsors above.
All races £6 via entry central which includes a medal, water and fruit.
Please note pre on-line entry only and NO entries will be accepted on the day.

By entering this race, you acknowledge the run is a genuine trail race with natural hazards. Every effort will be made to highlight the hazards but parents and children should be aware of the inherent risk of running in a natural environment.
All proceeds go to Monymusk School Parent Council.
Registration will commence from 10am and close 20 minutes before the race time. Numbers will be issued at registration, please ensure you write your emergency contact details on the reverse.
Health and Safety
Clear route maps will be posted for all routes.
All routes are extensively sign posted and well marshalled. Safety is paramount and we expect runners to follow the advice of marshals at all times. The route is a trail race and underfoot will contain a variety of hazards including uneven surfaces including tree roots and stones. Please be aware of this prior to entry.
As the routes are on private land, please respect that strictly no dogs are allowed on the race routes.
Car parking is available at Monymusk school. Registration is at Monymusk Village Hall in the centre of the Village and will be clearly signposted on the day.
Toilet facilities are available at registration. Please ensure that all rubbish is collected and deposited in one of the many bins that will be provided.
RACE START AND FINISH
All runners must be at the Start/Finish line at times noted above.
Timing devices are not issued for this event, placings only will be sent via email to all entrants with an email address after the event.
If you do not wish for photographs taken on the day to be used for publicity or during a slideshow of the event, please advise organisers.
Each runner will receive a medal, water and fruit. Cakes, tea, coffee and soup will be available from 10am in Monymusk Hall with all proceeds going toward school funds.
Prizes will be given to the first three girls and first three boys in each race with all competitors receiving a medal. The prize giving will be at Monymusk Hall at approx 12.45 on the day of the event.
