Castle of Mey 10k
28 May 17
The Castle of Mey 10k is the most northerly 10k on the British mainland, and is run in the beautiful grounds and surroundings of the historic 14th Century Scottish Castle, the Queen Mother's home in Caithness. With the kind permission of the Castle and Gardens of Mey, North Highland Harriers are the proud organisers of the Castle of Mey 10K.
Race entries are open until the 21st May 2017 or will close earlier if the race limit is reached.
Please note there will be NO ENTRIES ON RACE DAY so please enter asap to avoid disappointment. No refunds will be given for runners having to withdraw from the race and for health and safety reasons runners must not swop race entries. However the Race Organisers would ask that you let them know of your intension not to run to ease race administration on the day.
All further race details and athlete's race numbers will be available on the North Highland Harrier's website and Castle of Mey 10K facebook page after the 23rd May 2017. Updates prior to the event will also appear on the NHH website and on the Castle of Mey 10K facebook page.
Minimum age: The 10K race is open to runners over the age of 16 years on day of race but 15 year olds Scottish Athletics registered runners will be accepted. Please contact Race Organisers for further details.
Walkers: Unfortunately the Organisers cannot accept entries from participants wishing to walk the event due to the final section being on the main A836 Thurso to Mey road. There is however a 5K Mey Meander walk available which can be entered on the day.
Registration is from 12.00 noon to 1.30pm, at the front of the Castle. Please take a copy of your race number to the Registration desk to collect your race number and timing chip. Registration desks will be set up by number – 0-150, 151-300, 301-450, 451-600.
If you have pre-ordered a race tee-shirt, please collect from the Registration tent prior to the race start.
Due to the chip timing system, there will be NO ENTRIES ON RACE DAY. No waiting list will be held for this race.
We recommend you leave plenty of time to register.
