25 or 51.6 miles of MARVELLOUS STAFFORDSHIRE COUNTRYSIDE

THE ROUTES ARE SUITED TO ROAD, TOURING, ADVENTURE/MOUNTAIN/HYBRID BIKES -       NOT REALLY SUITABLE FOR YOUR VERY BEST AERO-BIKE!

This morning of cycling enjoyment is geared to all types of cyclist. Come along, enjoy the views and the workout.

Both routes start at the GROSVENOR CENTRE High St Gnosall ST20 0EX. (SADLY THE HORNS PUB HAS CLOSED) The 'Grosvenor Centre' is about 150m away from the Horns pub, still on the High St, Gnosall. The route leads you along the High Street and onto the A518 towards Newport - After 3 miles the route turns onto country lanes and our first climb of the day - 'Wilbrighton Hill' - from here both routes follow mainly country roads and take in lots of Marvellous countryside.

The routes are more Marvellous than Machu Picchu! and more Marvellous than Maltesers! (slight exaggeration there!!) Very scenic, sometimes narrow and you'll need 'your wits about you', this ensures you will find the ride's even more tasty than a 'Cadburys Caramel'!!

Our 25 miler follows country lanes, and includes a couple of manageable hill climbs.

The 51.6 miler continues this theme.

Both distances follow the same route up until 21.5 miles where the shorter route starts to head back and the longer route continues to the feed station/toilets at 21.7 miles (Ranton village hall) and onwards...

The FINISH can be either at the 'Grosvenor Centre' (teas and coffees can be purchsed) or at the 'George and Dragon' pub (opposite the Horns) where you can treat yourself to one of George's award winning ales!

Free cycle 'drinks bottle' to all finishers.
