Membership

It is the time of year when new and old memberships are due and we need to ensure we have the correct contact details for athletes. Membership provides insurance for athletes and the eligibilty for all athletes to take part in licensed events, Regional and National Championships. Athletes will be registered with Welsh Athletics and will be issued a registration number which may be required to enter some competitions.

Membership of Maldwyn Harriers commences from date of receipt of form and payment. From then
onwards membership will run from 1st April to 31st March.

When you become a member of or renew your membership with Maldwyn Harriers you will automatically be registered as a member of Welsh Athletics. We will provide Welsh Athletics with your personal data which they will use to enable access to an online portal for you (called myATHLETICS). Welsh Athletics will contact you to invite you to sign into and update your MyATHLETICS portal (which, amongst other things, allows you to set and amend your privacy settings.
By becoming a member of the club, you are automatically agreeing to the codes of practice as stated by Welsh Athletics – this relates to the codes of conduct, to the rules of UK Athletics and to adhere to all anti-doping rules and regulations.
All members shall be deemed to have made him/herself/themselves familiar with and agreed to be bound by the UKA Anti-Doping Rules and to submit to the authority of UKA Anti-Doping in the application and enforcement of the Anti Doping rules.
The UKA Anti-Doping rules apply to all members participating in Athletics for a minimum of 12 months from the commencement of membership, whether or not the member of a citizen of, or resident in, the UK.
There is a 4% admin charge for joining online but this does make it easier for yourselves to join plus easier on our administration side.

Membership fees are £30 + 4%(£1.20) if you join on line.
