Leighton Buzzard Triathlon Club
Leighton Buzzard Triathlon Club was formed in September 2011. We are dedicated to the educational and physical pursuit of triathlon and general fitness for all levels of age, gender and ability, able and disabled; with the purpose of bringing people together with others who share a common interest.
We are a friendly club and always welcome new members. Just pop down to any training session on a Thursday evening – we always look out for new faces, so don’t be afraid to come and have a go, no matter what your level of fitness or aspirations. We take great pleasure in encouraging people to get the best out of themselves, whether it be a novice triathlon or an ironman distance.
Members participate in all distances from novice, sprint, standard (Olympic) to half and full ironman triathlons; not to mention aquathlons and duathlons.
All training sessions are coached by qualified British Triathlon coaches.
Open Water Swimming sessions are held in the warmer months of the year - see website for details.
All coached sessions, where a club fee is payable, are £3 for participants, unless otherwise notified. Open water swimming sessions may attract a higher fee (see website for details). Leighton Buzzard Triathlon Club operates a no cash system whereby members may buy a sheet of 12 swim vouchers for £30 from Daniel, our Treasurer, or on joining via this website. Vouchers do not have an expiry date.
The club year runs to 31st October each year. From 1st November 2016 the annual charge is £40 for Adult Members, £18 for Associate Members (see website for details), £13 for Full Time Students and £7 for Juniors (18 years and under on 31st December of the year in which you intend to compete) and Seniors Over 60. If you are joining part way through the year you may receive free training sessions on a pro rata basis, at the discretion of the Committee.
