Dick Wedlock Memorial 10k Run

19 May 18

The Dick Wedlock Memorial 10k is hosted by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Athletics Club. The route is entirely within Pollok Country Park, and is an undulating route.

The route will start and finish on the access road into Cartha QPRFC car park. On leaving the car park, turn left and stay on this road. After about 400m, leave the main drive, going left uphill past the white house near to the riding school, at the top of the hill turn right and continue on this path until you reach Pollok House. Turn right after the barrier and continue round to the back of Pollok House and onto the riverside path. At the very end of this path, take a sharp left crossing the road and onto the footpath. Stay on the footpath until you reach the first road and turn right. This is a one way and you will run against any traffic flow. At the end of this road, turn right, and (for those familiar, follow the parkrun route until advised otherwise). Complete this loop again. On completion of your second lap, turn right and go downhill passing the white house again and onto the finish at Cartha.

The route is of tarred surface which in parts also consists of several speedbumps.

N.B. Due to ongoing works at the stables area, we may have to alter the route.

The park can be accessed from Dumbreck Road from M77 Junction 1, or Pollokshaws Road.
