Clyde Stride Ultra Marathon

The Clyde Stride 40 Mile Ultra Marathon was run for the first time in 2010. It was created especially for the Scottish Ultra Marathon Series and is the twelfth race of the series. The Clyde Stride provides the opportunity to race along one of Scotland’s most accessible new pathways.
The qualifying criteria for the Clyde Stride are that the entrant is over 20 years of age and has some experience of running races to marathon distance.
Race registration is at 08:00 on the 15th July 2017 at Partick train station.
The race begins at 09:00 and runners have 10 hours to cover the forty mile distance to Lanark. This is an unsupported event but race staff will transport drop bags to three checkpoints placed at ten mile intervals along the route. Water will be provided at checkpoints but runners will be expected to carry supplementary requirements.
Prizes will be awarded at the finishing line and a shuttle service will transport runners to Lanark train station if required. (not included in entry fee)
- Starting at 9am in teams of 4 consisting of women, men or mixed, runners must cover the course within the 10 hour time limit applied.
- All runners MUST be over 20.
- Teams are responsible for their own transport.
