Level 1 Essential ChiWalking® (2.5 hours), Tayvallich (1245-1515pm)
This half day workshop introduces you to ChiWalking® and the Five Mindful Steps. It is run by Biddy Simpson (Past-Tracks Heritage and Walking) who is a qualified ChiWalking Instructor. During the workshop we will be developing your optimal walking posture and looking at lower body focuses (stride length, ankle lifts and engaging your core) and upper body focuses (upper body leading and arm swing). We will be looking at how to maintain balance and relaxation in addition to a number of easy core muscle exercises to help you with developing an aligned and strong posture. Following the class you will receive a short, slow motion video which will provide feedback on your individual walking style with recommendations for how to improve your walking form. This is included in the price of the workshop.
