Cally Wood Bluebell 10km Trail Run
05 May 19
Welcome to Silentrunningscotland's first Bluebell run; we hope that you will enjoy the opportunity to run in Cally Wood with many other likeminded people. The Bluebells are an amazing natural phenomenon with the bloom at its best normally around the beginning of May . Having enjoyed many days running trails in the wood and finding these amazing blue flowers we want to give you the opportunity to enjoy them. So alongside the Forestry Commission, Dumfries and Galloway Council, Fleet Star FC and the Gatehouse community we welcome you here to our beautiful trail run.
The route will follow marked forest trails and bridleways. You will pass some interesting historical sites however the focus will be the scenic areas where the Bluebells are most likely to be visible.
Silentrunningscotland is the event organisation and we will work with the Forestry Commission to enable access to the venue. It is important that we leave the place as we found it, this is an outstanding area of natural beauty and our actions should not in any way detract from that.
This is an informal race and our intention is to give you the opportunity to have a fun and enjoyable day, our rules and regulations are relaxed; however we need to make sure you and your fellow runners are safe so any rules we apply are for fairness and safety.
