A BRAND NEW TRAIL RACE!

HELPING TO RAISE FUNDS FOR THE CHARITY - ALZHEIMER SCOTLAND 

BADASS TRAIL RACE - EAST WEMYSS - 19th MAY 2024 - RACE STARTS AT 2:00pm

This will be the first trail race to be held in the coastal village of East Wemyss - birthplace of the Badass! The race distance is between 4.5 & 5 miles and starts on the core path network behind the East Wemyss Bowling Club and follows the route of the old disused railway line alongside the Lappy Burn up to the sister village of Coaltown of Wemyss before turning around and returning back the same way to finish. The race route is a mix of scenic open countryside & woodlands held on farm tracks & dirt trails. It's relatively flat but can get wet & muddy in places depending on the weather.  

All finishers will receive A COOL BADASS MUG OR RACE MEDAL 

Prizes - As well as first 3 Overall Male & Female we also have prizes for 1st Male & Female in the following age categories - Over 40, Over 50, Over 60 & Over 70. 

Spot Prizes - Badass Craft Beer to be won but you need to be in it to win it!

RACE HQ - Number pick-up, toilets & limited car parking at East Wemyss Bowling Club, Grieve Grove, East Wemyss. Postcode for Sat-Nav - KY1 4TJ

PLEASE NOTE: NO PARKING at the start/finish area. Limited car parking is available at the Bowling Green car park and in the surrounding streets. When parking please be respectful and considerate to residents and the general public. 

We rely on the goodwill of the local community to put on these events so please help us by sticking to the rules.

PRE-ENTRY ONLY - £11.00

Sorry we do not offer refunds or deferrals but we do allow free race entry transfers up until 7 days before the race. All transfer details should be arranged between the runners involved before notifying the Race Organiser of any name changes.

Under NO circumstances whatsoever should you run with another person's bib number. 

BEFORE ENTERING: Occasionally we may have to alter the race route and distance due to extreme weather conditions or farm/forestry work. If any of the races are cancelled due to severe weather conditions or any other unforeseen circumstances then we will reschedule that race to a later date.

Our events are insured and permitted by the Governing Body Association of Running Clubs and are held Under ARC Rules.
