The Kyles 10 Miles is an unrivalled scenic road race/walk on Argyll's Secret Coast. The circular route heads out from the village of Tighnabruaich around the beautiful Ardlamont penninsula with stunning views of the Mull of Kintyre and Arran. The first five miles are hilly and challenging, flattening out for the second half of the run which takes you along the coastal road to Kames. After two years of cancellations due to Covid the event in 2022 was enjoyed by many so book early to avoid any disappointment.

The run is Scottish Athletics Affiliated (the walk is just for fun). We are again delighted to be sponsored by Radisson RED Glasgow and the Kames Hotel.

 All entrants will recieve a medal and a wicking t-shirt.  There will also be monetary prizes and trophies for the run winners. There will be chip timing for the runners.

The race number for the runners will be posted to you before the race and you do not need to register on the day. However walkers will need to collect their numbers from the registration desk which will be open at the Kames Hall from 9.00am. If you have any questions please go to the registration hall and there are toilets here.  The run will start on the main road in front of the Royal An Lochan at 12 noon - a ten-minute walk from the hall (the walk starts at 11am from the hall), and finishes in front of the Kames Hotel where there will be refreshments and a BBQ. 

Please note there are very limited toilets at the start - use the registration hall if possible or the public toilets in Tighnabruaich or Kames.

START TIMES:

Walkers 11.00 am, in front of registration hall in Kames.

Runners 12.00 noon, in front of the Royal An Lochan - 10 minutes from registration (limited toilets).

Please note that the parent or guardian of any participants under the age of 18 must be present at registration to sign a consent form.

On-line registration £32 for runners (£30 UKA/SAF affiliated) and £25 for walkers.  Runners must be 17 years or older on race day.

UKA or SAF number is required for all affiliated entries and must be entered in the appropriate box on the entry form. If it is not you will be asked to pay the additional £2 at registration.

We regret that refunds can not be given to anyone who withdraws before or during the race and places cannot be transferred to other runners. 

Race numbers are limited to 400 runners and 100 walkers.

We understand that many of you will want to take the opportunity to stay overnight in the area with your families. There is plenty of accommodation on Argyll's Secret Coast to choose from to suit all budgets from comfortable hotels to camping by the beach.
