Janets Foss 'Wildswim & Walk'*

Sunday 27th October, 10-2.00pm(ish)

£25.00 *WALKERS - plus swimmers - WELCOME :)

Meet Car Park - Malham National Park Centre, Malham, Yorkshire, BD23 4DA

Join us for a relaxed wild swim and walk where we will share the history of the local area and our love of open water. This is a chance to be with like minded souls and enjoy a fun day in somewhere beautiful.

Janet's Foss is a small waterfall close to Malham. It carries Gordale Beck into a deep pool below. The pool was traditionally used for sheep dipping, an event which drew in local village inhabitants for the social occasion. Janet refers to the fairy queen who is inhabits the cave at the rear of the water fall.

We'll be walking to the foss for a dip.

You will need:-

*Appropriate footwear/clothing for the trail walk. An average level of basic walking fitness is required to ensure the safety of the group with a distance of approx 8km to be covered on mainly flat trails.

*Own swim kit/hot flask, lunch, snackettes.
