General Information:

This is an International Invitational Paratriathlon, run in accordance with ITU Competition Rules, open to athletes from around the world. 

Strathclyde Country Park is situated at the northern end of the M74 (Exit J5 or J6) - nestling between Hamilton and Motherwell. There is ample Car Parking, a nearby Theme Park and the facility is only a relatively short drive through to Glasgow Centre. The Park Website is on: http://www.activitypoint.co.uk/en/e00/00163.htm

The facilities for Triathlon racing are outstanding. We have full use of the Water Park Sports Centre with changing facilities, restaurant and an elevated viewing terrace. The race will start from the front of the Centre with the swim taking place in the well marked, calm waters of the Country Park Loch.

Paratriathlon:

Paratriathlon will for the first time feature in this year's GE Strathclyde Park Triathlon, and will be first large scale Paratriathlon to be organised in Scotland. The race will be open to all six classifications of paratriathletes, and will be held over sprint distance (750m Swim, 20km Bike, 5km run). Elite Races:

The event also features Elite sprint distance triathlons, which are part of the British Triathlon Super Series. These races will take place immediately after the age group races, and will feature some of GB's finest triathletes.
