Once again the Scottish Enduro Championship returns to the South West of Scotland and once again to a new forest.
We are pleased to accept entries on-line via www.entrycentral.com. Unfortunately we cannot accept fully on-line entries from under 18's at present. If you are under 18, please enter on-line in the usual manner but you must bring a parent consent form to signing on or you will not be allowed to race. The start will be signposted from Straiton in South Ayrshire. Travel south on the Newton Stewart road, towards Newton Stewart for five miles. The entrance to the forest will be marked and is on the right just south of Tallaminnoch Cottage. The nearest post code is KA19 7NS

PLEASE REMEMBER YOU MUST HAND IN YOUR TIMECARD WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED FOR THE DAY, IT IS THE ONLY WAY WE KNOW THAT YOU ARE SAFELY OFF THE COURSE. WE CANNOT LET THE FIRST AID GO HOME UNTIL EVERY RIDER IS ACCOUNTED FOR.

1st Round of the SACU Scottish Enduro Championship 2013
Straiton - Sunday 19 May 2013 - SACU Permit 13041
Held under the National Sporting Code, the rules of the SACU and the Standing Regulations of the ACU for Enduro events, together with these Supplementary Regulations and any final instructions that may be issued.
Eligibility
Open to any type of off-road machine, Adult solos only. (Championship), (Expert), (Over 40’s),(Clubman),(Clubman B) and (Sportsman)
Closing Date
Entries close Thursday 16th May 2013.
Venue

Signing On
Commence at 9am. START 10.30am. Competition licences must be shown. One Day Licence forms are available from www.scottishenduros.co.uk and must be brought to signing on, together with payment.
Scrutineering
Scrutineering will be carried out under SACU Enduro Regulations. Riders are to present themselves to the scrutineers with helmet, dog tags, boots, gloves and their machine. All machines must be scrupulously clean.
Course
Forest and forestry tracks, marked with arrows. Number of laps and schedule will be given on the day.
Special Test
Start will be marked AA, end will be marked BB. The Test will not be available for walking prior to the event.
Machines
Must be clearly numbered on front and side panels with correct colour backgrounds and numbers.
Championship - Red backgrounds/White numbers
Experts - Green backgrounds/White numbers.
Over 40/Clubman and Clubman B - Yellow backgrounds/Black numbers.
Sportsman - Black backgrounds/White numbers
There will be no restriction on tyre type.
Noise Testing
Engine noise must not exceed 94dba. Noise testing may be carried out.
Parc Ferme
Machines must not be started or worked on in Parc Ferme prior to the start.
Refuelling
Will be restricted to an area designated for refuelling and will be marked by green flags. No smoking will be permitted in or near this area. Engines must be stopped during refuelling. All riders must provide a fire extinguisher and an environmental mat.
Helmets
Gold or Silver ACU current stamped helmets must be worn.
ID Discs
Must be worn giving name, date of birth and blood group if known.
Results
They will be posted on www.scottishenduros.co.uk.
Penalties
Starting engine before starting signal is given - 60
Lost or Illegible Time Card - 60
Failure to start engine within 60 seconds of start signal and cross 20m line - 20
Early arrival at time check, for every full minute - 60 (except the final check of the day
Late arrival at time check, per minute - 60
Exceeding walking pace in blue tape areas - Exclusion
Powerwashing - Exclusion
Course cutting or any other very dodgy practices - Exclusion
Smoking in Refuelling Area, rider or crew - Exclusion
Refuelling with engine running - Exclusion
Entries
Entry fees will not be returned unless the event is cancelled or a rider gives a valid reason for not riding at least seven days prior to the event, all refunds will be subject to a small deduction to represent our admin costs of processing an entry. Any rider not signing on on the day forfeits his entry fee in full.
Protests
Protests must be presented to the Secretary within 24 hours of the publication of the results.
