Auld Toun 10K Road Race, Dunfermline | Start Location | | | Event Information | Auld Toun 10K Road Race, Dunfermline is not open for public entries yet, and it is currently being tested by its organisers. You will not be able to make a test entry unless you have a relevant password. RACE DATE
The Auld Toun 10K Road Race is organised by Carnegie Harriers running club and will take place at 7.30pm on Wednesday 2nd June 2010.
CHIP TIMING
Your ‘Winning Time’ race timing chip must be collected from the Glen Pavillion, Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline, between 6pm – 7.15pm on race day. Please note that you must also bring your official race number with you in order to collect your chip. Your timing chip must be worn around your ankle and will be collected after you have completed your race. Remember, that you must wear your timing chip around your ankle otherwise your finishing time / position will not be recorded.
All race timing chips must be returned at the end of the race and should you drop out before completing the race, please arrange to return the chip to the finishing line. If a race timing chip is not returned a fee of £10 will be charged. We regret competitors cannot opt to use their own Race Chips.
RACE START POINT
The race starts and finishes within Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline.
THE COURSE
The race route follows a two lap course using roads within the Park itself, Chalmers Street at the west side of the City Centre, Pittencrieff Street, the Coal Road and Lovers Loan, Dunfermline. The race will re-enter the Park at various points along the route which will make the event ideal for runners and spectators alike. PARKING
Car Parking is available within the large car park at Pittencrieff Park and at the rear of the City Hotel, Dunfermline which is accessed from Chalmers Street. Car parking is also available at several other city centre car parks which are all about a five minute walk to the race start.
CHANGING FACILITIES
Changing facilities are available within the Glen Pavillion. There are no showering facilities. A baggage area will be provided to allow runners to leave clothes during the race. The organisers accept no responsibility for loss of clothing or equipment.
REFRESHMENTS
There will be a water station on the course and at the finish of the race.
RACE PRIZES
Medals will be presented to all finishers as they cross the line. Individual and team prizes will be presented within the Glen Pavillion at approximately 8.50pm. Age group awards will be presented to the categories M40, M50, M60, F40, F50 and F60.
