400M Pool Swim, 20KM Bike, 6KM Run

We are delighted to be able to announce that after an absence of 1 year, Brecon Sprint Triathlon is back! With the support of the Welsh Triathlon Association and Brecon Leisure Centre, Brecon Triathlon & Multisport Club will be relaunching this popular Sprint Triathlon in 2010. Brecon Triathlon has always proved popular, with our local knowledge and direct experience of the event going back many years, we are confident that the updated format will prove to be a great success. The bike stage is an all new course and offers something for everyone, with some fast, flat sections, great climbs and everything in between, the route has been designed to take advantage of some of the great roads and scenery the Brecon Beacons National Park has to offer. The distance is 20 km approx. The run stage is again all new, varied and scenic. Starting off road on good, even ground before swapping to minor country roads. The event finishes on the Leisure Centre running track, where your family and friends can cheer you home. The distance is 6 km approx. Our ultimate aim is to provide an event which is well organised, interesting and varied, using the best the local area has to offer, but most importantly is accessible to everyone. IMPORTANT - Please note, if of the 31st December 2010 you will be of the age of 15 or 16 then written parental constent will be required before your entry is confirmed. Feel free to enter on line but please ensure that the race organsier has received the appropriate written constent prior to the entry closer date (5th May 2010).
