Tri Preston Triathlon Club (Concession)

Club Information

Formed in 1997 as Tri Preston S.C., the club has some 80 members actively involved in a variety of multisports. The aim of the club is to promote achievement and enjoyment in multisports but particulary the sport of Triathlon. Some of the benefits you can expect if you join Tri Preston are:

  • The opportunity to train and socialise with multisport athletes from the City of Preston and surrounds.
  • Access to the members only e-group in addition to a personalised Tri Preston email address e.g. fname.sname@tripreston.co.uk.
  • British Triathlon affiliation.
  • Cycling Time Trials (CTT) affiliation.
  • 10% discount at Paul Hewitt Cycles, Sweatshop and Lakes Runner upon presentation of membership card.
  • Discounted membership at Total Fitness Preston.
  • Access to and coaching from coaches qualified to BTA Level 2, UK Athletics Level 3 Endurance and ASA Level 2. The club boasts the 2009 North West Coach Of The Year, Ian Murphy, and has a qualified BTA Level 3 referee in NW Regional Chairman Dave Rigby.
  • Club bike rides catering for all levels on most weekends throughout the year and coached swim sessions during the winter months.
  • Club meetings on the third Sunday of every month.
  • Access to the lake at Lakeland Leisure Village for Open Water Swimming May to September.
  • Loan of club Turbo Trainers.
  • Discounted chiropractic care and massage.
  • Probably the best club kit in the country.
Full-time Student/OAP/Unemployed £10

There is an optional levy for affiliation to England Athletics (EA) of £5 per person.
Members who are not first claim members of another running club should affiliate to EA. This allows you entry to UK Athletics (UKA) registered events without having to pay the additional Unattached levy, currently £2 per race, and to race for the club at championship, cross country, multi-terrain and all other UKA registered events.
Tri Preston pay this levy over to EA therefore you MUST check the box to add this levy for you to be able to run as an affiliated member. If you run as affiliated without paying this you are breaking the rules and Tri Preston's reputation will ultimately suffer.
