Registration
Registration will be open from 5.30am until 6.30am. We recommend that you arrive and register at least one hour before the start time.
Start Times
There will be a single wave of competitors which will start at 7.00am. This will be a deep water start in the lake.
Wetsuits are compulsory for the swim.
Safety
Marshals, Police and First Aid will be on hand to guide you through the event. Your bicycle must be in roadworthy condition and an approved cycling helmet must be worn throughout the bicycle section of the course.
There will be a pre-race briefing at 6.45am which must be attended by all competitors.
We have been informed by the Vale of Glamorgan Environmental Health Department that periodically the water at Cosmeston Lakes is not of an acceptable standard for swimming, especially in the area where ducks and swans congregate. We believe that the risk of contracting any infection or disease is minimal but competitors should take this into account when deciding whether or not to take part.
