Welcome to the Scottish Cross Country Association. We are a non-profit organisation that runs the national series of mountain bike races across Scotland.

Entrants must race in their appropriate age group category, unless they have an Elite or Expert licence issued by British Cycling or their national cycling governing body.
Riders from other categories with proven ability may ride in the Elite/Expert race at the discretion of the SXC Committee, by application at least one week before the race date, with verifiable evidence of their ability. They must possess a valid race licence in their category from British Cycling.
Participants may practice on the course on race day from 09.00-10.30, and from 13.00-13.30. Riders practicing on the course outwith those times on race day will be disqualified.
If you enter all 7 races in one transaction you will only pay the price for 6. Entry on the day will be subject to an additional levy, see the table below. If the race is full (350 entrants) there will be no entry on the day. Save money and help the organisers by entering on-line. On-line entries will close on the Wednesday night before each race.
Race Board Number
At your first race you will collect a race number board which identifies you within your category. You will keep it for the duration of the series.
Electronic Chip Timing
Race timing will be provided by Finishline Timing, using a timing chip attached to the downtube of your bike using a velcro strap. Your timing chip will have a different number to your race board number and must be handed back at the end of each race. The timing chips are re-used at races most weekends. It is therefore important that they are handed back at the end of the race. There is a £25 penalty for lost timing chips. You will be able to view your results on a live TV screen immediately following your race.
