Race Details

This triathlon is possibly the most picturesque in the UK – with the run section taking participants through the narrow streets in the coastal town of Stromness. The triathlon starts at the swimming pool on the outskirts of Stromess, with the cycle taking the competitors along an “out and back” course through “gentle rolling” surrounding countryside. The roads are open for this event, and although normally quiet, participants are reminded that road safety and compliance with the highway code are their responsibility. The routes will be marshalled and signed posted.

400 metre pool swim - 4 lanes, with swim starts organised according to anticipated times.

Cycle
This is an out and back course taking participants to the North West of Stromness . The 10km route is an undulating "out and back" course on quiet and well signed roads.
