2009 sees the return of the popular Crystal Palace Triathlon, organised by Crystal Palace Triathletes (CPT). The race comprises a 750m swim in the 50m pool at the National Sports Centre, cycle nine laps of a closed circuit within the park (closed to traffic!) then run two laps around the park, finishing in the renowned athletics stadium.

Swim = 750m - 15 lengths in 50m pool
Bike = 20km - 9 laps of closed road circuit in park
Run = 5km - 2 laps in park

Competitors for the full Sprint event must be 17 or over on the day of the race.

The entry fee is £36. British Triathlon members will be refunded £3 at registration, on production of a valid race licence.

• TriStar - Start - 8 years - £10
• TriStar 1 - 9-10 years - £10
• TriStar 2 - 11-12 years - £10

• Youths - 15-16 years - £20

As we are aiming for a carbon-neutral event again in 2009, the additional questions we are asking are for the purposes of working out the race carbon footprint as accurately as we can after the event, they are not for marketing purposes and will not be disclosed to any third parties.

We will operate a waiting list should the race fill before the closing date.

We have been advised by the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre that the refurbishment of the 50m pool will be completed in April and the pool will be open in time for this year's race.
