The Brooks Serpentine Running Club annual 10K race within Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens

The race starts and finishes near the Boathouse, which is west of the Winter Wonderland fair and is on the north bank of the Serpentine Lake. There are toilets next to the start, at the Serpentine Bar and Kitchen and at the Winter Wonderland site. Please note there are no changing facilities. Therefore, please arrive ready to run. A bag deposit facility is available near the finish line but note that any bags are left at the owner's risk.

2010 sees the introduction of chip timing to this race. Backup time keeping requires that your number must be clearly visible on your front but also be prepared to shout your number if requested. All competitors must report to the finish even if you are abandoning the race. Please stay in order after crossing the finish line. Chips will be collected at the finish line. IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU RETURN YOUR CHIP. Failure to do so may result in an additional charge.

The race starts at 11:00am and is held under UK Athletics rules (Licence Number 20090990). The minimum age for runners is 15. There will be a race memento for all finishers. There are vouchers for the first three men and women, team prizes for the first men's and women's teams plus prizes for age categories.

We regret that we are not able to offer refunds for this event.

SERPENTINE MEMBERS MUST CONTACT THE RACE DIRECTOR BEFORE ENTERING. Entry to this race for Serpentine Running Club members is ONLY open to those who've received permission to enter from the Race Director. Anyone who enters without seeking permission first, will be withdrawn from the race and charged an admin fee.

Running under someone else's name is against UKA rules and those doing so will be disqualified from the race. Number transfers are NOT possible and the Serpentine Running Club reserves the right to ban anyone who breaks this rule from running in any future events.

The route will not be closed to non-runners and so we request that runners do not run wearing headphones so you're able to hear marshals' instructions at all times. This is for your own and other runners safety as well as that of other park users. Thank you.
