Drumlanrig Castle Tri Enduro Tweet
Brought to you by the team behind the Durty Triathlon, Craggy Island Triathlon, and Celtman!.
LOCATIONDrumlanrig Castle is a spectacular privately owned estate and country house in the quiet, spectacular, and relatively unknown Dumfries & Galloway area of SW Scotland (see www.drumlanrig.org for details). Not far from the M74, and within easy travelling distance from both the Central Belt of Scotland, and Northern England. It's an amazing and beautiful set of forests, fields, parkland, lochs and moorland, with a huge network of well-looked after forest trails. The house is open to the public (there's an additional charge for this - payable at the entrance gate), and includes a courtyard complex where there is a visitor centre, restaurant, and Rik's Bike Shed. The estate also features miles of great MTB singletrack routes - much more natural in feel than the 'normal' trail centres.
FORMATDrumlanrig Tri-Enduro is an off-road Triathlon with a more than a bit stupid twist!. You've got 8 hours to complete as many laps as you can - each lap is approx 200m Swim, 6km Mountain Bike, plus a 2km Run.
TEAMSEnter as a Solo, Pair or Quad - it's up to you. All we ask is that in multiple-person teams, each person does at least one bike and one run lap, and that you do changes in the transition area.
COURSEEntirely within the privately owned Drumlanrig Castle Estate. Transition will be be in the rolling parkland at the front of the Castle!. Swim is in the beautiful old curling loch - 3' deep throughout, so very newbie-friendly. The bike course is a great mix of twisty, rooty, sweeping natural singletrack, and forest tracks. The run course is on grassland and decent paths and tracks.

EXTRA ESTATE ENTRY TICKETSIf you're bringing along friends, supporters and spectators, they'll need to pay the normal estate entry fee. This can be done on the gate, however, if you purchase them in advance with your race entry, these area at a discounted rate. Nice.
