The Tri Centre New Year's Day Triathlon & The Great Pyjamas Caper - for the new Sick Kids hospital
The Tri Centre New Year's Day Triathlon is OPEN for entries. This years event will also include the first ever Great Pyjamas Caper in aid of The New Pyjamas Campaign, raising funds for the new Sick Kids Hospital to be built in Edinburgh. Watch this space for event info coming soon. The new organizers of the Tri Centre NYD Triathlon, Edinburgh Racing (the team who brought you the European Duathlon championships in 2007) have teamed up with the Triathlon section of the Edinburgh Road Club (Edinburgh’s biggest cycling & triathlon club) to prevent this race being lost from the calendar during the years of RCP closure. However organizers are keen to stress that despite this year's event being forced to use a new swimming venue there should be minimal changes to the cycle and run with both of these disciplines still taking place on closed roads within Holyrood park located in the heart of Edinburgh. The new location will help retain the unique atmosphere of what has become a well loved and popular winter race.
