Run the Res 10k and half marathon

Sunday 14th July 2024 starting at 9.15 am - registration is open from 8:00 am until 8:45 am.

An out and back half marathon distance and 10k multi-terrain running event in beautiful Layer de la Haye. Showcasing our village’s beautiful local landscapes with a very scenic run through the North Essex countryside taking in Abberton Reservoir. There will be 4 water stops on the half marathon route and at least 1 on the 10k route. In association with Essex Wildlife Trust and Essex and Suffolk Water I am delighted to be bringing this race to you. Race HQ is located at the Abberton Reservoir visitor centre,  Church Road, Layer-de-la-Haye, Colchester, Essex, CO2 0EU.

Toilets and car park are all available at the above location. 

Race entry is £22.50 which includes a donation to the Essex Wildlife Trust and a medal. There is an option to purchase an event t-shirt for £12.00.

Prizes will be presented on the day as soon as possible after the race has finished and the results finalised.

Trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female in both distances. There will be team prizes for the first 3 males and first 3 females across the line for both distances - please note this is how we do our team results. It's just the first 3 home from the same club, you don't have to all finish together.
