The Tom Jones Aquathlon Challenge 2024
Welcome to the registration for The Tom Jones Aquathlon Challenge 2024. The event commemorates Tom Jones, a young man passionate about sport. Tom, a Worcester University student, tragically lost his life in the River Severn in September 2018. WMSAR proudly presents this event in partnership with Worcester Triathlon Club (WTC). Proceeds from the event will benefit West Mercia Search and Rescue (WMSAR), a registered charity that serves Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire. WMSAR is 100% staffed by highly trained volunteers. A portion of the proceeds will also benefit St. Richard's Hospice, The Tom Jones In Memorium Fund and Worcester Triathlon Club.
Event Date: Sunday July 7th, 2024.
Event Location: Droitwich Spa Leisure Centre, Briar Mill, Droitwich Spa, Droitwich, WR9 0RZ.
The Tom Jones Aquathlon Challenge will run alongside The Tom Jones "European Championship" Festival of Football and The Tom Jones Tag Rugby Invitational Tournament. There will also be a family fun day event with great food, refreshments, music, kids' rides and fun activities - so bring the whole family along!

The Route
The swim will take place in Droitwich Leisure Centre's 25m indoor pool.
The transition area will offer adult supervision to younger entrants as required.
The run will take place on a traffic-free closed course around the grounds of the Leisure Centre. The course will be clearly marked and well marshalled to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all entrants and spectators.
Parking
Paid parking is available at the event venue. If the event venue parking is full, additional parking facilities will be available nearby. Please allow time for parking and walking to the event venue if necessary. Additional parking options will be emailed to entrants prior to the event date.

To sign-up for this event, the Service Fee is 4% (min 50p) for each sign-up
A British Triathlon Race Pass is required for participants who are not a British Triathlon Home Nation member. For this event, Race Pass costs are £2.00 (plus £0.08 service charge) for participants aged 24 and under, and £8.00 (plus £0.32 service charge) otherwise.
