RACE CANCELLED

We have this morning carried out a course inspection and reviewed the risk assessment for the event in the now known and actual weather conditions.

As a result we have needed to take the frustrating and disappointing decision to cancel the race from taking place today.

This decision has primarily been taken on the grounds of safety, however we have also taken account of the logistics of everyone needing to travel in these conditions, park safely and for our marshals who would need to be out in the conditions for some hours.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the need to take such a decision, we have not wanted to do this and as seen from our previous communications, opted to see if the weather actually did in the local area transpire as predicted.

We will after dealing with all the necessary administration of cancelling todays event, look towards the options we have of possibly and hopefully setting a revised date. This may take us a day or so to resolve - please bear with us - we will as soon as we are able provide further communication - however in the first instance need to deal with today.

It is hoped that you understand and appreciate the need for such a decision to be taken and that it has been done for everyone's safety.
