The Gordonstoun Triathlon Festival is organised by Moray Firth Triathlon Club and an 'Event Permit' application has been submitted to British Triathlon.

Prizes will be awarded to overall Open and Female winners. Age group prizes will be awarded dependant on the entry uptake. 

The race will be Chip Timed and results will be available on the Thistle Timing website.

This year, in addition to the Sprint Triathlon, we are accepting a limited number of Aquabike enries (Swim/Bike)

Entry Cost

Sprint -       £25  + Entry Central Service Fee.

Aquabike - £20   + Entry Central Service Fee.

Race Information :

412m Pool Swim (18 lengths of the 25 yard pool)
25 Km Cycle on public roads. (Any type of bike would be suitable)
5.0 Km Run (off road, within the Gordonstoun grounds). Sprint only.

Aquabike entrants will complete the swim and the bike legs, rack their bike and then cross the finish line.

This event is open to competitors of all abilities.
Entrants must be aged 15 or older on 31 December 2024.

Could we please ask that you submit a 400m swim time that is as accurate as possible. This will enable us to sort out heats and lanes with swimmers of similar pace. This makes the swim much more enjoyable for everyone. (Times can be revised right up to the event closing date)

Parental / Guardian Permission
All competitors aged between 15 and 17 (on 31 December 2024) will require Parental or Guardian Permission to take part, and confirmation that they are sufficiently fit and healthy to to take part in the event.

British Triathlon Race Pass

In order to ensure you have adequate third party insurance for the race you will need a valid home nation race licence. If you have Core or Ultimate membership of Triathlon Scotland (or Welsh Triathlon or Triathlon England) then this provides you with a race licence. Please ensure you add your membership number to your Entry Central account and bring proof of your current membership to registration on race day.

If you don't have home nation membership you will need to purchase a British Triathlon race pass. This option can be selected at checkout.

If you aren’t already a member of Triathlon Scotland, why not consider joining to experience the range of benefits this offers as well as helping to support the development of the sport.

Entry Exchanges

We do not offer a facility to exchange entry places prior to the event under any circumstances.  This also applies to people arriving at the event wishing to take another person's place.  Identities are carefully checked at Event Registration and any "substitutes" will be rejected

Refund Policy 

Competitors withdrawing within 4 weeks from the event date (i.e. from 12 August) will only receive a full/partial refund (less the Entry Central Processing fees) at the discretion of the race organisers, and only if the place can be filled. No refunds will be given after the event Closing Date (5 September).
