THE  CURFEW  RUN

The Curfew Run was started in 1996 and takes place at 8 pm after the relatively new Curfew Fun Run ("Fun for all the Family").  Like the fun run, the aim of the Curfew Run is to run round the historic Elizabethan Walls of Berwick-upon-Tweed and beat the time it takes the Curfew Bells to toll - 13 minutes.  The Berwick Bell Ringers will ring the bells for both races but please be aware that, sadly, at times weather and crowd noise can make it hard to hear the bells.  Entry to the Curfew Run is open to all those aged 13 years and over.
